Michael Gove says private rented sector reform ‘will happen in 2023’
This has of course, been on the cards for several years, but certainly appears to be progressing. I think this will have been influenced by the awful death of Awaab Ishak from mould in his property in Rochdale recently.
I recently spoke to the Environmental Health team from North Northants Council and they confirmed that they are seeing alot of action behind the scenes to change things for the better. In my experience, they have always been reasonable if you act promptly and professionally.
My main advice would be to wait for the dates to be set and legislation to be confirmed and published. As ever, the devil will be in the detail.
House prices see biggest fall for two years, says Nationwide
As reported by the BBC, the average property price fell to £263,788 last month from £268,282 in October, the Nationwide said.
I really don't think this will be of surprise to most. The property market is not immune to the factors that are affecting the economy as a whole.
Interest has continued to remain for both buying and selling, albeit at a slower pace than we've had for the previous two years.
